Race day registration
The race has sold out quickly in each of the past two years. The field will be capped and we expect the race to sell out again this year. Limited race day registration will be available only if the race has not sold out. Check the website for registration status.

Race T-shirts
Storm the Castle race t-shirts are available for $15. Click on the link Race T-Shirts to order. This link is also included on the registration page. We have had a change of plan and t-shirts will not be shipped to runners. Instead, pre-ordered T-shirts will be available for runners to pick up when they pick up their bibs on Friday, April 27th or Saturday, April 28th. There may be a small number of t-shirts for sale during bib pick up and post race in the finish area, but don’t count on it. Order now!

Each finisher will receive a medal.

Bib pickup
Friday April 27th: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, at Ipswich Ale Brewers Table, 2 Brewery Place, in Ipswich.
Race Day, Saturday April 28th: 6:30 am - 7:50 am, at Crane Beach, 310 Argilla Rd in Ipswich.

Start and parking locations
Race starts and finishes at Crane Beach, 310 Argilla Road, Ipswich, MA. Parking for runners and spectators is in the Crane Beach parking lot next to the start/finish area.

Parking lot time
Crane Beach parking lot will be open on race day morning by 6:15 am

Bag drop
There is no bag drop. Please secure your belongings in your car.

For safety reasons, runners are not allowed to run with dogs. Since dogs are not allowed on Trustee property after March 31st, spectators are also asked to leave their dogs at home.

Water on course
There are five water stops on the course at miles (approx) 2.5, 4.5, 7.5, 9.5, and 11.5 Gatorade will be available at the 7.5 mile water stop.

Thanks to the Trustees of Reservations, runners will be able to use the Crane Beach restrooms which are located adjacent to the parking lot and the start/finish area. There will also be two portapotties in the start/finish area and three portapotties on the course at miles (approx) 4.5, 7.5 and 9.5.

Medical support on course
Medical support will be located at the start/finish area as well as out on the course. There will also be multiple police officers, course marshals and volunteers along the course for your safety.

Cash awards
There are cash awards for the top male and female overall winners, Ipswich resident winners and age group winners. Awards must be claimed at the awards table in the finish area by 11:00 am.

Race after party
Don’t miss the Ipswich Ale Half Marathon after race party! Ipswich Ale and Mercury Brewing soda will be available for purchase at the after party and each runner (over 21) will receive a free Ipswich Ale or soda. There will also be several vendors with food for sale. And DJ Michael Bernier of Evolvement Music will be back again this year to keep the music and party going all morning.
